Here’s an easy and effective tip I’ve used over the years…
If your Christmas tree is smaller than you would like, give it some height by placing the tree stand on top of 4×4″ posts which have been cut to the length of your tree stand. (a picture would be worth a thousand words but I don’t have one — sorry!)
Your tree skirt will cover the lumber so no one is the wiser. Plus, you will gain some room to manoever your watering under the tree.
Even the additional 4″ of height can make a big difference in the look and “presence” of your tree.
